I am a freelance web designer and developer in Dallas, GA (north west of Atlanta). I use standard design tools such as Photoshop, and Open-Source development tools such as MySQL, PHP and Ruby on Rails.

I develop most things on OSX, not because I think the Mac is the best thing that has happened since sliced bread (all though it is nice to have it sliced, you don’t get as many crumbs with presliced bread), but because I can run Photoshop, Ruby, Apache, MySQL and PostgreSQL all on the same box. It makes development a little faster for me.

My server of choice for web development is Ubuntu Server because it is overall easy to update. I have a background in a plethora of things computer related such as a System Administrator in a mixed environment (Samba, Exchange ‘07, Windows 2003 Server, Open Directory), web designer and developer, and PC support.

For right now, I’m pretty happy doing web design, development and server administration for a few clients.
